In 2014, Mitteldeutsche Umwelt und Entsorgung GmbH took into operation Germany’s first stationary treatment plant for the high-quality material recycling of gypsum-containing waste. This plant is able to treat up to 75,000 t of gypsum-containing waste per year, so that the resulting product can be used directly in the facilities of the gypsum industry.
