Specialists in circular economy and waste management contribute to the recycling of residual materials, the recovery of resources and the disposal of waste. They can take on a variety of tasks at MUEG. This could be on the truck weighbridges, as equipment or plant operator, in quality monitoring, as a dispatcher or in the detection of waste.  With know-how and innovation, they contribute to a careful use of our resources and our environment.

As a specialist in circular economy and waste management, you will have the chance to continue your employment in one of the many areas of MUEG after successfully completing of your training.

Training elements

  • You will pass through all areas of the Espenhain recycling and disposal centre as well as in the quality inspection and in selected recycling/treatment plants
  • Metal engineering, assembly and disassembly of components and assemblies
  • Electrical and control technology
  • Operation, control and monitoring of processing and recycling facilities
  • Operation of road vehicle weighbridges
  • Creating and editing slips, receipts and disposal documentation
  • Waste assessment under waste law and classification of residual materials and waste
  • Sampling and laboratory analysis
  • Operation of various earthmoving machinery

Prerequisites

  • Good grasp of technical matters and manual craft skills
  • Analytical thinking and good grasp of commercial matters
  • Interest in chemistry and biology
  • Working independently and responsibly
  • Flexibility and courage to take on challenges
  • Self-initiative, communication and team skills
  • Good school leaving qualification from secondary school or higher
