How we work
In any remediation project, our aim is always to remove the environmentally hazardous substances
- as quickly as possible,
- in a way that is the most environmentally friendly and
- the most sustainable,
while using the most cost-efficient processes available. To achieve this, we tailor our planning to the individual requirements of each project and implement it if requested by the client.
Every remediation project starts with an investigation of the brownfield site and the contaminated areas in order to gauge the type and extent of contamination. The results of this analysis form the basis for planning and implementing the actual remediation tasks. These tasks include:
- the excavation/removal of the environmental impact,
- the preparation of the substances or the separation of material mixtures, respectively,
- the professional utilisation and disposal of the materials in an environmentally non-critical way.
When implementing environmental remediation projects, we go to great lengths to ensure that our work is ecological and resource-friendly and produces as little emissions and immissions as possible.
We aim to thermally utilise the contaminated materials as refuse-derived fuel whenever possible,
using our co-incineration capacities in the Schwarze Pumpe power plant for this purpose. Since no new contaminated materials are produced with this type of utilisation, it offers particular cost efficiency and ecological sustainability. Furthermore, utilisation as refuse-derived fuel helps to preserve fossil energy carriers as valuable natural resources.
