Simple disposal is not enough

We establish disposal security for large-scale power plants

Usage and processing
of residual waste from power plants

Our utilisation of CO2-free residual waste from power plants is an important contribution to the disposal security of power plants, particularly in the region of south-east Germany. The residual waste we recycle stems primarily from raw lignite power plants near the sites of our residual waste material recycling plants in Lochau, Peres and Deuben. We treat the residual materials received from the power plants in our own specially developed process and make them useful for a number of applications.

The consistent high quality of all products obtained from our processes is ensured by strict quality management.

Our residual waste material recycling plants enable the targeted recycling of residual waste material from power plants. This includes first and foremost:

  • Filter ash, fly ash
  • Wet ash, bottom ash and slag
  • FGD gypsum

The crude ashes available to us and the materials produced in our recycling processes are used in multiple applications in various fields:

  • direct backfilling or backfilling of thick matter in underground cavities
  • road construction material
  • material for the conditioning of liquid and highly viscous substances

We recycle the following materials for you:

Depending on our criteria on the acceptance of waste materials, we are able to accept the following residual waste from power plants and recycle them in our treatment plants:

Acceptance and delivery of materials

Residual waste materials as well as sewage and biological sludge are accepted based on the waste type catalogue and the statutory acceptance criteria/limits at the site of our plants on site, as well as operational process instructions.

Before the waste is delivered, you must coordinate with the responsible sales employee to clarify if the material is suitable.
