For our field of utilisation of residual waste from power plants in the Lochau waste material recycling plant, branch line at the Schkopau (Lochau) site, we are seeking, starting at the next available date, a motivated and qualified train driver (m/f/d) with a view to working as a ‘train driver and station master (m/f/d) and ‘foreman/shift supervisor’, to replace a member of staff who is close to retirement age.

Your responsibilities

  • Perform train and shunting movements within our own industrial railway and branch line in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations.
  • As a station master, specifically also: Take on responsibility for the management and supervision of train and shunting movements
  • Perform preparatory and finalising work related to the operation of the recycling plant for residual waste from power plants and of the sidings
  • Safety-conscious way of working during regulation operation and in the event of faults
  • Perform maintenance and repair jobs
  • As a train driver and station master, there is the opportunity to take on the positions of ‘foreman/shift supervisor’.

Our requirements

  • Successfully completed training as train driver, Class 2, or TfV/operator)*
  • As a station master, additionally: successfully completed training as railway employee in operational service, specialising in guideways, or as signalman with knowledge of panel-operated signal boxes, GS II and III* design
  • Qualification as carriage checker G*
  • Willingness to work in shifts and on weekends
  • Secure use of computers and MS Office applications is appreciated
  • Willingness to continuously learn and develop oneself
  • Proof of sound health in accordance with TfV
  • Flexibility and resilience
  • Reliable, independent, structured way of working, team and communication skills
